Damien Galopin as an artist always mixed musical culture with life experiences from his travels.
Dj Kriktus, as an imprint of the old school of the techno music trend, drew his vigour from the twelve years that he spent in French Guyana. As his father travelled a lot, Damien spent his childhood among the Atlantic Ocean and finally settled in France in 1994 when he was seventeen. 1996 was a turning point: his first techno party. It was the first catch that quickly gave him the desire to create his own musical universe and to invest in the free movement in which he felt so well. Twelve years later, Dj Kriktus was involved in different areas such as music or the techno associative life. Dj Kriktus multiplied experiences: he was a member of Cir-k-son, he was organizing techno events for five years and he was an active member of the association named Humatomik and he still kept in mind the free expression of rave-parties. From Vendee to Bretagne and Normandie, Kriktus’ sounds resound on scenes as the Astropolis where he played in 2008. Dj Kriktus worked on the radio on Radio Activ FM based in St Brieuc (22) with his friend Dj Sylcut. Dj Kriktus made the radio thrilled with his broadcast 100 % Drum'n Bass / Jungle "La DropXone Session". Damien Galopin, alias Dj Kriktus passed away on Monday 22nd December 2008. He would remain forever for those who had known and been in touch with him as an exceptional man. After listening to him, people were smiling, their ears buzzing... thrilled by his music... Damien, you would remain forever in our hearts. More than one jumped on your sound and it will go on anyway. We’ve been already missing you... to our mate, friend and brother... Humatomik, Dropzone Frequency, Bass Addicted, Cir-K-Son... and so on...
